Davidoff Year of the Dragon Limited Edition 2024

Davidoff is celebrating Chinese New Year for the twelfth year in a row with a cigar and accessories created especially for the occasion. The "Year of the Dragon Limited Edition 2024" is characterized by an elegant box containing ten Double Corona cigars, once again raising the standard for luxury items. The box is decorated with a striking, glossy lacquered dragon scale pattern on the top and features the imposing Year of the Dragon symbol in the center holding a pearl - a symbol of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune in Chinese culture. Inside the box there is a wooden compartment with two compartments for the cigars, separated by a red silk ribbon symbolizing the dragon's tongue. This exclusive series is limited to 19,500 boxes worldwide, of which 1,570 will be available in Germany.

The "Year of the Dragon" cigar is an outstanding format, composed of eight types of tobacco, and represents the largest of all "Year of" editions to date. The Double Corona comes with a distinctive foot ring that covers the uncut part of the cigar. This allows aficionados to enjoy the first two centimetres of the cigar without the wrapper, which offers a unique interplay of aromas and is reminiscent of the fire-breathing dragon.

1/3: The uncut cigar foot offers 2 cm of enjoyment without a wrapper. Notes of earth, wood and herbs are present. Then the taste changes to rich aromas of nuts, cream and licorice.

2/3: The intensity increases and notes of sweet honey, white pepper and citrus fruit dominate.

3/3: In the final third, notes of fresh spice and oak complete the dominant dark chocolate flavor.

The elegant Year of the Dragon cigar with its balanced aromas requires a suitable partner for a festive pairing. The famous Kir Royal, which consists of crème de cassis and champagne, is an ideal companion. The fresh, fruity and sweet notes of the cocktail mingle wonderfully with the aromas of the cigar.
